Prioritize your Time!

Updated: Jan 17, 2019

People are more worried about about others stealing their time or wasting their money more then they are them stealing or wasting their time. Start thinking about time like how you think about your money. Whatever you choose to do in a day you are choosing to spend the time you have. Think of it like a bank account. We are all dealt the same amount of time into our account (life). As a child, money isn't much of a concern. You spend it on the stupidest things. Most children are not taught at a young age to save their money so they put no value to it. The older we get the more value we put on money. just like with time, the older the person the more value they put on their time. You look at time differently the older you get. Twenty-four hours doesn't mean the same to you as it did when you were only five. When you're in your 20's you think you have all the time in the world. you spend your time on unnecessary things that feed your feelings and desires rather the your future. When you reach your 40's and 50's and 60's you realize you didn't have all the time you thought you did and you will wish you would've spent that time better but you can not ever get that back. This happens simply because of peoples lack of knowledge and lack of wanting to know, lack of direction, lack of foundation. Your bad habits will put you in this position. You don't want to be the person who looks back and all they see is regret. It's important to realize in your 20's or before so you don't make the common mistake of so many who blow the first 20 years of their adult life like they'ed blow the first twenty dollars they get in their pocket. Make every day count. There is no such thing as, " I don't have enough time for that." There is time for everything. The only thing there isn't time for is TIME TO WASTE. We ultimately decide when we want to withdraw from our account of time and invest into something or someone. We have the final decision. Remember, in the bank account of life you can only withdraw you can not deposit. Once you decide to take it out you can 't put it back in and you can't get back. So keep in mind before you withdraw to think twice about how you want to spend your time. Don't let other people try to influence you on how they think you should spend it. Look at how they spend theirs and ask yourself if that's how you want to spend yours because the longer you associate with them the more you will start to spend you time like how they do. Learn to balance your account of life. Easiest way is to organize and prioritize each and everyday how you want to spend it according to what is most important to you. that being said there is no such thing as forgetting. When you give you to someone to do something for them you are deciding to give your time to them. If its important to you you will get it done if not you will find a way not to. Remember to choose wisely what you want to invest your time into and who.
